SILVANUS TAMANG

Silvanus Tamang is the director of Joshua Himalayas. Under the leadership of Silvanus Tamang Joshua Himalayas operates, in the Prophetic, Deliverance, Healing and Teaching, equipping the body of Christ and the Nepali speaking diaspora.

He was an alcoholic and drug addict. He was living a life with no purpose and meaning. In 1997, he attended a youth camp meeting at Kalimpong (WB) with an intension of making new friends and getting more supplies of drugs. But the God's plan was different for him. Lord Jesus Christ gave a personal visitation to him. This one-time encounter set him free from all bondages.

He is married to Meenu Thapa and they are blessed with a son, Jeremiah Tamang. He is mentored by Sadhu Sundar Selvaraj since his life was radically changed in the first Joshua camp meeting in 1997. Since then he has been faithfully serving in bringing the fires from the Himalayas to the end of the age. Presently he along with his wife and son are serving the Kingdom. He is the director of Joshua Himalayas with the call of Prophet in his life.

JOSHUA CELL

It started with a small fellowship in 1998 has now spread across many parts of Sikkim. In these cells young people gather on weekly, bi-weekly and monthly basis where they come together for prayer and are equipped with the sound word of God.

Joshua cell in Majhitar, East Sikkim takes place every Sunday from 5p.m. onwards.

JH HISTORY

In the year 1996, Sadhu Sundar Selvaraj was called to Chungthang valley of North Sikkim to share the gospel. During his visit, the Holy Spirit showed him a vision, “mountain was blazing with fire that looked like lava floating down the plains.” As per the interpretation, Holy Spirit revealed that during the end days, anointing will start in the mountains of the Himalayas and flow down covering every inch of the plains through young people. Obeying the Word of the Lord, Sadhuji conducted the first Joshua Camp meeting in December 1997 onwards which followed many years changing thousands of lives, setting them free from bondages, addiction and the power of evil. In the year 2011, Sadhuji passed this baton of the mighty move to Silvanus Tamang, creating a new history of Joshua Himalayas.
